Community Team at The Pointe is a non-competitive performance team for dancers who love to perform! This is a great opportunity for dancers ages 5+ who want more performance experience throughout the year. Dancers in Community Team are placed in groups by age and skill level after auditions.

Additional Learning Opportunities
Dance is a performing art, and there is no better learning opportunity than
experience. Dancers learn problem solving, performing skills, adaptability,
and more by performing different routines in a variety of settings. Dancers
also learn from a variety of different instructors in their weekly classes and
rehearsals. Community Team typically learns 4-8 performance routines
during the year for different events. This is a great experience learning and
retaining choreography
A Family Environment
The Pointe’s Community Team dancers perform age-appropriate dances and enjoy a sense of belonging to a team, building lasting friendships. Our main goal is to use dance as a vehicle to teach life lessons that will have value in any vocation. Other goals include teaching dancers about all aspects of performing, helping them become comfortable experiencing new things, guiding them in learning to set and work towards goals, and encouraging them to compare themselves not to others, but to who they were yesterday!
