Dancers of the Month – January 2019

Every month, our staff team takes some time to reflect on the great things happening in the studio and the amazing kids we work with, and we select a few dancers to honor with the title of “Dancer of the Month”.  Our Dancers of the Month stand out in and out of the studio for their great work ethic, consistent kindness, taking initiative, and drive to continue to improve individually and help others.

This year, we’ve added to the Dancers of the Month blog post – and we’re also featuring one of our graduating seniors and a member of our staff.  We believe that our studio is so special because of the people we share it with – our students, their parents, and our incredible staff team.  Please join us in celebrating and congratulating January’s Dancers of the Month!

Dance & Discover: Audrey V

Audrey was nominated by Miss Vanessa: “Audrey is having an awesome year in Dance & Discover 3!  She is growing so much in her ballet, tap, and tumbling skills – her hard work in class really shows!  Audrey is kind and encouraging to everyone in her class and makes sure everyone has a friend.  Her bright smile lights up the stage and she is a joy to teach!”

Chance to Dance: Grace B

Grace was nominated by Miss Denise: “Grace is always enthusiastic about doing everything in class and is a great role model for our younger dancers. She takes directions well and is a joy to have in class each week!”

Levels 1-3: Ellamae M

Ellamae was nominated by Miss Katie Thul: “EllaMae is in her first year with PSD.  From her first class, she has always been brave, polite and eager to learn! She made an effort to introduce herself to her classmates to meet new friends, and she smiles throughout the whole class!”

Levels 4+: Addie K

Addie was nominated by Mr. Aaron: “Addy has a strong determination in class and I can tell she is working hard to improve her technique. She’s not afraid to push herself to add that extra turn onto her pirouettes or get a little higher on her leaps. She’s a great student to have in class!”

We also want to congratulate dancers from The Pointe who were selected to perform in Opus and All-State band, choir, and orchestra concerts this month: Maddie N (band), Bryce S (choir), Megan M (choir), Evan S (choir). Being selected for these events is a huge honor after a very involved audition process.  Way to go!

Congratulations, dancers!  We are so proud of you!
