Dancers of the Month – April 2018

April is one of our busiest months at the studio – class recommendations went in the mail, we have our last two competitions for Company dancers, and things are really getting in to gear for Recital!  We can see so much growth in the students at the studio who have danced with us this year – in every class, dancers are working on finishing and polishing their recital routines.  It’s amazing to see the dancer who was shy and new at the beginning of the year practice big smiles for the stage, or to see dancers who have been working on some specific skills get ready to showcase those skills at recital.

Outside of classes, dancers are working hard to finish the school year strong – we see dancers helping each other with homework in the lounge, sharing their snacks in between classes, and supporting and helping each other through the end of the year.  We’re so proud of the awesome people these kids are becoming – and taking a few minutes out of the business to showcase our Dancers of the Month is one of the highlights of my role as the director of the studio. Congratulations to our April Dancers of the Month!

Dance & Discover Showcase: Vivienne

Vivienne was nominated by Miss Cyndi: “Vivienne has grown in her confidence and ability to work hard every week in dance class. When she began dancing in September, she wanted to master all her skills right away and became frustrated when she couldn’t get them to perfection. She practices at home and does her steps over and over at dance class until she gets them. I admire her determination and hard work ethic.”

Junior Recital: Tessa P

Tessa was nominated by Miss Vanessa: “Tessa has had an amazing year in her classes and Mini Company!  Tessa comes to every class on time, in dress code, and ready to work hard.  She is an encouraging teammate and a friend to everyone in her classes.  Tessa consistently asks smart questions in class and practices her choreography and skills at home – and it shows!”
