We are in the middle of a BUSY January at the studio! Our competitive routines get their first chance to shine on stage tomorrow night at our Company Preview Show (7PM, Linn-Mar HS!), we are working on our summer schedule and details for Recital 2018! 2018 is definitely off to a great start and we are so thankful to have a full and busy month working the best kids and their families every day!
I’m taking a few minutes this morning to reflect on 2018’s first Dancers of the Month – please join me in giving these students a high-five this month when you see them!
Dance & Discover: Scarlett V.
Scarlett was nominated by Miss Cyndi: “Scarlett joined dance as a two-year-old with her mom in the Dance With Me! class. At first, she was very shy and did not want to take any risks without her mother. This year, I have watched her grow to be more independent and demonstrate her love of dance in her Dance and Discover 1 class. She always works hard and follows directions during her class. Keep up the great dancing, Scarlett!”
Junior Recital (Levels 1 – 3): Gretchen C.
Gretchen was nominated by Miss Kara: “Gretchen is having a fantastic year! Her focus has really improved, and it shows in her progress. Gretchen asks to do her solo in between classes every week, and you can tell how hard she is working on it! She loves to have fun and she’s learning how to have fun AND work hard on her skills during class.”
Senior Recital (Levels 4+): Kate M.
Kate was nominated by Miss Beth and Miss Vanessa: “Kate has really come into her own this year in Tap Technique. She is much more confident and is happy to help break down combinations for other dancers in the class. Kate is always ready for class early, in dress code, and is a great example for our younger students who look up to her. She’s a great assistant and is always willing to help any dancer with a new step!”
Way to go, dancers! Congratulations! We are all so proud of you.
