We can't believe it's already time to start thinking about next year - we have been working hard behind the scenes to build our schedule for an incredible 2025-2026 season. To make things easy for our families and to optimize our schedule based on our community's needs, we utilize an automatic registration process called "Rollover Registration". Everything happens in April - we're sharing so families have lots of time to think about their plans for next year and choose the best registration path for them! Here are the three next year registration options - all forms and schedule details are listed below.

  • Automatic Enrollment – You don't need to do ANYTHING! Your dancer(s) will be automatically enrolled in the class(es) they are recommended for (we'll match your current schedule as closely as possible). Your annual membership will process on April 25 with the final tuition and costume installment for the school year unless we receive the membership change form from you by April 18. We can add or change classes easily at any time (pending availability).

  • Choose Your Own Classes – To choose your classes and guarantee a spot in your preferred time slots, use our convenient Easy Enrollment Form linked here by TODAY April 18th. Your annual membership will process April 25, and we'll take care of getting you set up and registered in our software system!

  • To keep this form easy to read and complete, there are more details available on our full schedule that don't fit nicely here.  To view more details - including detailed pricing, recital show times for each class, etc - please view the schedule for your program(s) here: www.thepointeschool.com/dance-classes .  Click on or scroll down to your program, and then the schedule will be linked right there!

  • Be sure to select your classes based on your dancer's recommendations for next year. If your dancer is currently in a Beginning or Graded Technique Class (Beginning, Dance Fundamentals, Level 1-Adv), your Spring Evaluations were sent home last week. Please see those for your class selections. If you have a dancer in our Dance & Discover program, follow these guidelines:

  • If your dancer is 1 or 2, register for My First Dance Class (with a parent or guardian) or Mini Movers (for independent 2 year olds)

  • If your dancer is currently in Mini Movers and will be 3 by September 15th, enroll in Dance & Discover 1 and/or Hippity Hop.

  • If your dancer is currently in Dance & Discover 1, enroll in Dance & Discover 2 and/or Hippity Hop.

  • If your dancer is currently in Dance & Discover 2, enroll in Dance & Discover 3 and/or Hippity Hop.

  • If your dancer is currently in Dance & Discover 3, enroll in Level 1 classes (we recommend the Level 1 Core Class Package + any specialty classes)

  • Opt-Out – We'd hate to see you go! If you are not planning on continuing in dance next year, use the Membership Change Form linked here to opt-out. This must be received by 10 PM, TODAY April 18 to avoid the annual membership payment processing on April 25.

Regular class registration for Summer 2025 is OPEN to the public! Visit thepointeschool.com/summerdance for access to all of the class schedules and to get your dancer signed up before spots fill up!

A few important things to know:

  • Priority class registration for current PSD students is open now! Class registration will open to the community on February 10th.  See below for more information on class selection.

  • Over the summer, we fit classes into just 4 days per week as opposed to 7 days a week during the school year - so we have some combined-level classes.  These allow us to offer more schedule options for families.  A Level 3/4 class, for example, is suitable for dancers recommended for either Level 3 or Level 4.  These are not new levels (Level 3/4 is not "in between Level 3 and Level 4" - it is a mix of dancers in both levels). 

  • We are still offering packages for classes (this is the best way for your dancer to get the most out of their time at the studio - and the best value for tuition).  To keep things simpler and cleaner on the administrative end, register for all of the classes in the package you want - then our team will adjust your tuition right before tuition is added to your accounts so you get the package pricing

  • At registration, there is a $20 deposit due per dancer.  This holds your spot in classes and will be credited back to you when tuition is processed before summer classes begin. 

  • Questions about summer registration?  We can help you by email, over the phone, or at the front desk.

Class Selection:

  • If your dancer is 1 or 2, register for My First Dance Class

  • If your dancer is currently in Mini Movers and will be 3 by July 1, enroll in Dance & Discover 1/2 and/or Hippity Hop.

  • If your dancer is currently in Dance & Discover 1, enroll in Dance & Discover 1/2 OR Dance & Discover 2/3 and/or Hippity Hop.

  • If your dancer is currently in Dance & Discover 2, enroll in Dance & Discover 1/2 OR Dance & Discover 2/3 and/or Hippity Hop.

  • If your dancer is currently in Dance & Discover 3, enroll in Level 1 classes (we recommend the Level 1 Core Class Package + any specialty classes)

If your dancer is in a Graded Technique class, they may want to wait to register until class recommendations and evaluations come out March 28.  Here's a tip - if they are in a level now, they could register for that level (ex: a dancer in Ballet/Tap/Jazz 1 this year should register for Ballet/Tap/Jazz 1/2 - they will either be in Level 1 or 2). 

SUMMER CAMPS

Summer Dance Camps are active and creative fun for kids - and we are thrilled to have several brand new camp themes for this year!

It's time to start preparing for Recital 2025 on June 8th at the Paramount Theatre! Our Recital webpage is now LIVE! You will find everything you need to prepare you and your dancer for a successful Recital season. Check out thepointeschool.com/recital-2025 regularly for updates.

Here are new updates to the website this week:

Costume Alteration Days: Although rare, minor alterations are sometimes needed to make a costume fit just right. Costume alterations will be the responsibility of the family, but we are offering some free Alteration Days in the spring to help you make those adjustments! Remaining Alteration Days are scheduled for April 22 & 24th from 5-8 PM Please sign up for a time slot on any of the available days through the form on our Recital webpage (thepointeschool.com/recital-2025). This helps our volunteers to be better prepared and equipped for all of your costuming needs. Please bring in your dancer and their costume that needs adjustments, and our parent volunteers will help you get their costume Recital Ready!

Recital Merchandise, Flowers, DVD, and Digital Download Orders are OPEN!: Don't miss the opportunity to get all your commemorative merchandise for Recital 2025! Visit our boutique website via our Recital webpage (thepointeschool.com/recital-2025) to place your order. We have Recital T-Shirts and other clothing, DVD and Digital Download packages for each show, and Flower Orders to celebrate your dancer on performance day. All orders will close on Friday, May 2nd to allow for proper delivery time before Recital day.

Dancer Program Shout Outs and Business Program Ad Orders are now OPEN!: Every year, we produce a beautiful, full-color keepsake program for recital.  Each dancer receives a complimentary copy of the program, and families keep these as tokens of their amazing year at The Pointe and a "souvenir" from their recital performance.  Families can make this keepsake extra special for their dancer by adding a "shout out" - a special message to your dancer, with a picture. Local businesses can also place an ad in our Recital programs to help them connect to members of the community. To order a Dancer Shout Out or Business Ad, please see the order forms on our Recital webpage (thepointeschool.com/recital-2025). All orders will close Friday, May 2nd.

Recital Ticket Sales: Recital Ticket Sales will begin online May 11-13, 2025. All families receive 4 complementary tickets included with you membership at The Pointe! You will receive access to these tickets via online code sent to the studio email on file approximately 24 hours before sales begin. Per the polices of the Paramount Theatre, all of our attendees must use physical tickets to enter the theatre. You must pick up your physical tickets that correspond with your reservation at the studio during the last week of classes (May 27-June 2) Please see our Recital Handbook for ALL details regarding ticket sales - including scheduled ticket sale access, early bird pricing, and ticket pick up. (thepointeschool.com/recital-2025)

Community Team: Community Team at The Pointe is a non-competitive performance team for dancers who love to perform! This is a great opportunity for dancers ages 5+ who want more performance experience throughout the year. SAVE THE DATE:

  • Performing Group Pre-Audition Parent Meeting - Friday, May 2nd from 5:30-6:30 PM. We will meet in person at the studio. In this meeting, we will go over all expectations and requirements for you dancer to join Company or Community Team. This meeting is great for new families to get information and for current families to be updated on any and all changes as we prepare for a new year!

  • Pre-Audition Clinics - Saturday, May 17th. If your dancer is planning to attend auditions, participating in these clinics is a great way to get them comfortable in an audition setting! Dancers should sign up for the clinic that corresponds with their Ballet level recommended for the 2025-2026 School Year. Level 1/2 and 3/4 Clinics will run from 2:00-2:45 and Level 5-Adv will run from 2:45-3:30. Sign up for these clinics today through this link.

  • Auditions - Sunday, May 18th. Dancers planning to audition for Company should attend the audition slot that corresponds with their age on January 1, 2026. If your dancer just wants to be considered for Community Team, they are not required to audition - but are welcome to for the experience. Please see the complete audition schedule below.

  • Doors Open @ 12:30 PM (Studios B & C available for warming up)

    Ages 6-8 - 1:00-2:00 (2:00-2:10 solo/duet/trio audition)

    Ages 9-11 - 2:30-3:30 (3:30-3:40 solo/duet/trio audition)

    Ages 12-14 - 4:00-5:00 (5:00-5:10 solo/duet/trio audition)

    Ages 15-18 - 5:30-6:30 (6:30-6:40 solo/duet/trio audition)

Trial Classes

Did you know that we offer free trial classes for new-to-The-Pointe families - and we have a sweet deal for you if you refer a friend to our program? Families can schedule a trial class easily - just have them send us an email and we'll take care of it!

When a family you've referred signs up, please have them list your name in the "Where did you hear about us?" form in online registration. We will send them a $20 gift card to our boutique to help them get the gear their dancer needs for class - and as a thank you, we'll send one to you, too! Trial classes are easy to schedule online, and are FREE for a limited time!

Reminders

Studio Lobby & Lounge
We ask that families limit lobby visitors to one parent per child if you'll be waiting in the lobby during class.  We also ask that families ONLY have food in the lounge, and to pick up after eating. We have wipes, paper towels, and a small broom/dustpan in the lounge so the space can stay nice and neat for the next group to use the space.

Absences

Boutique & Front Desk Hours
We're happy to help ! We catch up on studio voicemails, emails, and are available at the front desk from 4:30-7:00 Monday through Thursday during the summer. In the school year, we are also open 9:00 AM - Noon on Saturday mornings.
