Our Summer 2025 session runs for 6 weeks from June 23rd-July 31st! Here are some special reminders to get you ready for a fun summer full of dance!
SUMMER CLASSES
Summer Tuition Payments will be processed via Auto Pay on Monday, June 23rd.
Attendance & Class Makeups: Regular attendance is vital to student progress. We know families often travel or have other summer activities, so we offer a generous makeup policy. Dancer's may attend any similar-level class to make up for an absence during the summer session.
Class Uniform, Shoes, and Hair: Proper attire, hair, and shoes are required for all classes. View the uniform, shoes, and hair for each class here: thepointeschool.com/attire Shop for dance clothes and shoes here: theturningpointeboutique.com or at the studio in our in-house boutique.
Please do not wear your street shoes or bring food, or colored liquids into the studio. (Clear liquids in a closed bottle is okay!)

SUMMER CAMPS
Drop Off & Pick Up: Parents may drop campers off 15 minutes before their camp start time. Please pick up your dancers at the end time - and check with the instructor to see if their is a performance at the end of camp!
What to Wear & Bring: Campers should wear comfortable clothing they can move and play in! Bare feet or dance shoes are great for dance class and activities. Dance class uniform is not needed for camps. Bring a water bottle and a snack in case your camper may not like the snacks offered.
Allergies or food needs?: Please let us know as soon as possible if your dancer has any food allergies or sensitivities. We will do our best to accomadate!
Registration for the 2025-2026 School Year is open to the public! If you know any one looking for a dance home and refer them to The Pointe, you AND the new family receive referral bonuses upon registration. You will also find updated policies and a calendar for next school year on our Policies webpage.
The 2025-2026 School Year will mark the 10th Season for The Pointe School of Dance! To celebrate this momentous occasion, PSD is going to dance at Disney World on July 18-22, 2026. This is an opportunity open to ALL current studio families! This trip will include a performance at Disney Springs, staying on-site at a Disney Resort, Park Hopper Tickets, and a special Dessert Party at Disney's Fantasmic!

Believe it or not - it's time to start planning for winter and our 3rd Annual Performance of The Nutcracker! Our Nutcracker webpage is now LIVE! You will find everything you need to prepare you and your dancer for a successful Nutcracker season. Check out thepointeschool.com/nutcracker regularly for updates.
Here are new updates to the website this week:
Lead Role Information & Audition Registration: Interested in a Nutcracker Lead Role this upcoming winter? Auditions for lead roles are open to students registered for Ballet 3, 4, 5, 6, or Advanced for the 2025-2026 school year. Lead roles will be created and cast by audition - there is not a pre-set list of roles, we will create the casting and roles based on auditions. Lead roles include, and are not limited to: Clara, The Nutcracker, the Sugar Plum Fairy, and more. Please check out the Nutcracker webpage to see all information and commitments for a lead role. Auditions will take Place on Friday, July 25th from 5:30-6:30 in Studio A. You can find the audition form on the webpage now: thepointeschool.com/nutcracker
Class Ensemble Performance Information: Class ensembles will perform large group pieces in The Nutcracker, available for all dancers registered for a ballet class Level 1 and up. Class roles will be determined after sign-ups are complete. Dancers will learn choreography in their ballet classes, wear costumes rented from the studio, and participate in one dress rehearsal and two performances. Class performance is a package - and an amazing opportunity! Dancers must be signed up for this performance - it is not an automatic registration. See our webpage to view all information and commitments to participate with your class. Registration will open on Friday, August 29th.
Did you know that we offer free trial classes for new-to-The-Pointe families - and we have a sweet deal for you if you refer a friend to our program? Families can schedule a trial class easily - just have them send us an email and we'll take care of it!
When a family you've referred signs up, please have them list your name in the "Where did you hear about us?" form in online registration. We will send them a $20 gift card to our boutique to help them get the gear their dancer needs for class - and as a thank you, we'll send one to you, too! Trial classes are easy to schedule online, and are FREE for a limited time!

Families have received an email with a unique link to join the BAND group for each class - if you've joined us after that message went out, please find your dancer's instructor after class to get access or shoot us an email ([email protected]) and we'll get you added!
We've added another easy method of communication to get relevant information directly to families - right on your phone!
Studio Lobby & Lounge
We ask that families limit lobby visitors to one parent per child if you'll be waiting in the lobby during class. We also ask that families ONLY have food in the lounge, and to pick up after eating. We have wipes, paper towels, and a small broom/dustpan in the lounge so the space can stay nice and neat for the next group to use the space.

Absences
Attendance in class is crucial for dancers to learn and grow. We can only teach students who are in class :) However, we know that things happen and kids may need to miss occasionally. Boutique & Front Desk Hours
We're happy to help ! We catch up on studio voicemails, emails, and are available at the front desk from 4:30-7:00 Monday through Thursday during the summer. In the school year, we are also open 9:00 AM - Noon on Saturday mornings.
