Get Ready for Picture Week & In-Studio Dress Rehearsals!
📅 May 4–8, 2025

We’re so excited for Picture Week at The Pointe—this is a special opportunity to celebrate all the hard work your dancer has done this year and capture it in beautiful recital photos!

📸 What to Expect

During Picture Week (May 4–8), dancers will:

  • Take 2–4 individual photos and a class photo in their recital costume(s).

  • Learn and practice photo poses during class leading up to picture week.

  • Participate in in-studio dress rehearsals during the same week—right here at the studio.

  • Picture times are in place of regular classes.

Miss Vanessa takes and edits all the photos herself to help ensure each dancer looks and feels their best in a positive, encouraging environment!

⏰ Arrival & Readiness

Please arrive at your dancer’s listed "Arrival Time" (on the picture week schedule and one-page handout for your class) and be lined up by Studio A 5 minutes before your photo time.

Your dancer should arrive photo-ready, which means:

  • In full costume (no extra layers)

  • Wearing the correct tights and dance shoes

  • With hair and makeup done to recital standards

💡 Tights and shoes needed for each class are listed on the Quick Reference Guide on our recital page, and on the one-page handout each instructor passed out in class!

👩‍👧 Parent Access

  • One parent per dancer may accompany their child:

    • In the lobby

    • In Studio A for photos

    • In Studio C for in-studio dress rehearsal

Parents are not required to attend, but if you'd like to, please limit to one adult per dancer.

Studios B and D, the lounge, and the lobby bathroom will be available for quick costume changes and storage.

💾 Photo Delivery & Ordering

Photos will be available for purchase online 3–4 weeks after Picture Week. Families will receive an email with:

  • A link to their class photos

  • Options to purchase prints (delivered to your home)

  • Instantly downloadable digital images

💡 Even if you don’t plan to purchase photos, your dancer should still attend for class photo and dress rehearsal participation!

📌 Quick Reminders

  • Don’t forget water, labeled costume pieces, and a big smile!

  • Hair and makeup details are available on our Recital Page.

  • You can also preview last year’s photos and access new ones as they’re added here: onpointephotography.pixieset.com

Thank you for helping us make Picture Week a fun, smooth, and memorable experience for all our dancers!

With joy,
Miss Vanessa
